Halloween is the most spooky, interesting and sweet holiday in America. Growing up in Russia I only knew about this holiday from the movies. My favorite move is “Hocus Pocus”. I think I watched it a thousand times… it never gets old)))
Today I can experience all the charm of Halloween from the inside! Especially now that our kids are at the age, that we have to prepare and make it interesting for them.
We all actively participate in decorating the front yard, the costumes we bought a month ago and now it’s a time to create sweet and special treats!
After a long time of thinking about what I can do, I come up with this idea to make a Black Cat Snack Bites. All is needed are square pretzels, peanut butter, banana, dark chocolate and decorating sprinkles. At the end I got a perfect frozen treat!
These Halloween Black Cat Snack Bites are rich in taste, great for kids and perfect for the Halloween celebration!
Ingredients:
Square pretzels
¼ cup peanut butter
½ cup dark chocolate chips
1 banana
Decorating sprinkles and, chocolate chips and edible eyes.
Step 1
Cut the banana into slices. Take the two pieces of pretzels and spread peanut butter on them. Then take a slice of banana and put it between the two pretzels so it looks like a sandwich.
Step 2
Lay out all the pretzel sandwiches on a plate or baking sheet and put in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. When the pretzels are frozen, melt a ½ cup of dark chocolate cheeps (microwave for 30 seconds, stir very well, microwave for 15 more seconds if needed).
Step 3
Dip each pretzel sandwich in the melted chocolate and lay it out on a plate or baking sheet. Put in the freezer for another 20 minutes.
Step 4
Use the decorating sprinkles, white chocolate chips and edible eyes to make a cat’s face. Also, you will need tweezers to grab the small sprinkles and you can use the remaining liquid chocolate instead of glue.
Enjoy!
Notes:
For freezing pretzel sandwiches use a plate greased with butter or lined out with parchment paper (I recommend the parchment paper).
If the chocolate has hardened, warm it up again in the microwave for 15 seconds at the time.
Keep them in the freezer until you ready to serve them.
