If I will ask you a question about your favorite meal time, I’m sure most of you will say breakfast! That is my favorite meal too!
Eating a good breakfast gives you energy for the rest of the day. I’m not talking about junk food. I’m talking about balanced, healthy meal. In Russia, we have an expression that says: “Breakfast eat by yourself, lunch share with your friend and dinner give to your enemy.”
Morning is the perfect time to eat good curbs or pamper yourself with something sweet and also spend wonderful time with your family before a long day.
Eighty percent of the time I’m eating oatmeal for breakfast. Some time it’s oatmeal with fruits, some time it’s oatmeal with milk or some time I cook different types of pancakes.
For example, these Oatmeal Apple Pancakes! They are haven! They are healthy and made without sugar or oil! All you need is 10 minutes of your time and five simple ingredients. This is how I make them…
Ingredients:
½ cup oatmeal flour
½ Fuji apple
1 egg
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
Step 1
In a bawl put together oatmeal flour, grated apple, egg, baking powder and salt.
Step 2
Mix all ingredients very well.
Step 3
Heat a non-steak pan on high heat, then turn it to low. Lay out the oatmeal mixture with a tablespoon. Close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4
Flip the pancakes and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
Step 5
Serve Oatmeal Apple Pancakes hot with your favorite fruits, yogurt or sour cream.
Enjoy!
Notes:
If the apple doesn’t have enough juice, add a little bit of milk to get the right consistency.
If you don’t have oatmeal flour, just use regular oatmeal grinded down in a food processor.
